The Beginners class will give you an introduction to Gypsy Caravan tribal style focusing on a vocabulary of basic moves building slowly into more complex combinations. Over the six weeks you will drill the moves which build into a group of movements that can then be danced together using cues to create an improvised dance. Once you reach Improver/Advance level the combinations become more complex, more zill work is introduced and the dancers learn to work together in pairs and as a whole troupe.

Classical Style Belly Dance Classes at Queens Park Arts Centre

Map to Queens Park Arts Centre

Deadre started learning classical style belly dancing in 1996. After three years, she was asked by her teacher to take over her classical classes as she wanted to teach Tribal Style belly dance after attending a workshop. Deadre too fell in love with Tribal Style belly dance and a few years ago took over teaching the Tribal classes as well as the classical ones. She dances in two troupes: Barefoot Bellydance tribal style troupe who dance at weekend festivals, one day carnivals, theatre showcases, haflas and fund raisers; and Anuket with her classical students who raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and Queens Park Arts Centre by dancing at fetes, parties and care homes
